The Weststadt is located near the main train station, not far from the city center. With around 7,800 residents, the centrally located district is a very popular residential area and, together with Südstadt, forms one of the largest Gründerzeit districts in Germany. Weststadt is a sought-after place to live, mainly due to its proximity to the university and good transport links in all directions. In the middle of the musicians' quarter, the tree nursery grove as an urban park and the Beethovenplatz form attractive green accents. On the edge of the park, towards Beethovenplatz, is the Electoral Gardener's House. Art exhibitions are presented in the gardener's house. The larger, representative buildings in the west of the city include the building of the Rhineland Chamber of Agriculture onEndenicher Allee and the Borromäushaus on Wittelsbacherring.
In the western part of the city there are numerous shops for everyday needs, as well as hobby and garden markets. In the vicinity of the Victoria Bridge you can visit various bars and restaurants. For those interested in culture there is the Rheinisches Landesmuseum Bonn, which presents the art and cultural history of the Rhineland metropolitan region since the early days.
